"Unlike the popular misconception of a sierra-centric revolution that brought a handful of rebels under Fidel Castro to power in January 1959, this film tells the story of two forgotten revolutionaries who created the landscape for Fidel Castro's victory. Frank País and José Antonio Echeverría were two of the main architects in the fight against Fulgencio Batista. Killed before the victory, País and Echeverría were lost from the history books both in Cuba and in the world.
